Homelessness is not a

private fight, jump in

The 937 Project is a Christian non-Profit mobilizing the church to serve alongside community partners to address the homelessness crisis in Pierce County.

Our Process

  • Research

    There are so many great organizations in Pierce County serving in the fight against homelessness and housing security. Or first step at 937 is to do the research.

  • Identify

    Choosing 2-3 organizations a year to highlight and support. This process is done through great consideration of our team and board, and through diligent prayer.

  • Discovery

    During the discovery stage our team will interview the organizations chosen to highlight and learn more about their mission, process, services offered and as much information needed to present to local churches.

  • Connect

    Following discovery, our leadership will begin to meet with pastors and church leaders to explain The who, what, why and how The 937 Project approaches serving.

  • Engage

    Following meeting with the church leadership. The Team will schedule a time to present information about the highlighted organizations for awarenesses and the best path to get connected to serving through those organizations.

  • Improve

    Continuous improvement is necessary. 937 does not plan to increase the church participation in the homeless fight 100%. However, we do plan to increase the amount year after year so that the next generation does not start where we started.

“When Christians who understand the gospel see a poor person, they realize they are looking into a mirror. Their hearts must go out to him or her without an ounce of superiority or indifference”

– Timothy Keller.
